Tattoo & Brow Removal at Glow Esthetic, Lisbon

Removing pigment — whether a tattoo or an eyebrow micropigmentation that no longer matches what you want — is done over several sessions. The laser breaks the pigment up and your own body clears it over the following weeks.

That is why the process is necessarily slow, and the number of sessions depends on factors that can only be assessed in person: the colour and density of the pigment, how deep it was applied, how old it is and your skin type.

What you can expect

  • Progressive fading of the pigment, session after session
  • Correction of old or discoloured micropigmentation
  • Preparing the area for a new micropigmentation
  • A protocol adjusted to the type of pigment and your skin

How the process works

  1. Assessment of the pigment, the skin and the tattoo's history.
  2. A realistic explanation of the likely number of sessions.
  3. A test on a small area, when appropriate.
  4. Spaced sessions to allow natural clearance.
  5. Post-session care and strict sun protection.

What to know first

Not all pigments respond the same way: coloured inks are more resistant than black, and some micropigmentation pigments can oxidise. Complete removal is not guaranteed in every case, and we tell you so at the assessment, before starting — not afterwards.

Questions about Tattoo & Brow Removal

It varies a lot, depending on the colour, density and age of the pigment and on your skin. An estimate is only possible after seeing the area in person.

With the right protocol and proper aftercare, the risk is low. It increases with sessions too close together or with sun exposure, which is why we respect the intervals.

There is some discomfort, similar to a quick snap on the skin. Tolerance varies from person to person and the session is managed accordingly.
