Facial Lymphatic Drainage
A gentle manual technique to help de-puff the face, the eye area and the jawline.
Facial lymphatic drainage uses the same manual technique as body drainage, adapted to the face and neck: slow, light, rhythmic movements that follow the natural path of the lymph. Pressure is minimal — with drainage, more force does not mean a better result.
People book it mostly when they wake up with a puffy face, have puffiness around the eyes or feel their facial contour is less defined, and also before an event. At Glow Esthetic, in Lisbon, the session always starts by understanding your goal and checking for contraindications.
What facial drainage helps with
- A less puffy, more rested-looking face
- Less puffiness around the eyes
- A visually more defined facial contour and jawline
- A fresh, relaxed feeling
- Skin that is well prepared for other facial treatments
What happens in the session
- A chat about your goal and a check for contraindications.
- Gentle cleansing of the face.
- Stimulation of the drainage pathways in the neck and collarbone area.
- Slow, rhythmic movements across the face, from the centre outwards.
- Extra attention to the eye area and the jawline.
- Finish with hydration.
Who it is for
Anyone who retains fluid in the face, wakes up with a puffy face or puffy eyes, or wants a less puffy face before an important moment. It also works as a complement to other facials. Active skin infections or inflammation, among other conditions, are checked before the session.
Facial or body drainage?
The technique is the same; the area changes. Facial drainage works on the face and neck. Body drainage focuses on the legs, abdomen and arms, and is the right choice for heavy legs or fluid retention in the body.

It works best as a series of sessions close together, followed by maintenance. The frequency is agreed with you at the assessment, depending on your goal.
No. It is one of the gentlest techniques we offer: the pressure is light and the session is relaxing.
